Just noticed a very clever truck strapline from the home removals arm of Pickfords Removals.
"Pickfords - the careful movers."
So what's so special about that? On the surface it appears to be a stodgy, rather uninspired choice.
But on reflection, what do home owners want from their removal company? In many cases, for them to be careful. If they are careful removal people, they're also almost certain to be considerate, clean-mouthed, punctual and generally reliable removal people too.
In spite of myself, "Pickfords - the careful movers" immediately made me think of every other removal firm recklessly throwing grandfather clocks down stairwells, shattering pianos into smithereens, cracking Granny's antique vase and generally messing up anything they touch.
All nonsense, of course - who's to say that any other firm is less careful than Pickford's?
Well, Pickford's are ever so subtly suggesting it in their own strapline ... clever.
We used London Removals they did great job too and the price was not bad!
