After a fallow period of blogging neglect due to sheer volume of work, back to it.
Also been dipping my toe into the M-Cast sector podcasts the last few weeks; our PR podcast will be available online shortly at M-Cast. We're learning en route, but it's fun and it will become more polished as we go along. My fellow M-casters are Faith Ashworth from Creative Concern, freelancer Stephen Newton of 'The PR Consultant' blogging fame and Richard Bond of SKV.
Smith & Smith PR has recently grown somewhat, with three new members of staff - PR exec Charlotte Cornwell, recently graduated from Manchester University, and PR account managers Claire O'Connor, who is commuting from Liverpool every day by bus (commendably retro) and AJ Read, who is BBC trained and who has headed PR for Cosgrove Hall amongst others.
We've also won some fantastic new accounts, including Japanese mini excavator company Hanix Europe, South African security products group Trellicor and Manchester-based Brulimar Optical Group, for whom we're implementing a pan-European campaign.
In the meantime, we've been office-hunting in Manchester's Ancoats and the Northern Quarter. Ideally we'd like somewhere with on-site showers, solar heating and bike racks, but basically we'll settle for something with adequate elbow room at this rate ...
