Hull KR (a client) hosted the launch of the 'Pride of East Hull' , a revolutionary strategy to increase sports participation, tackle obesity and strengthen community cohesion. The architect of this initiative is John Prescott MP, also a director of Hull KR, who has worked tirelessly with the club's Education and Sport Trust to bring together education, health and local sporting partners to improve the life-chances of the public of east Hull.

This week I spent most of my Wednesday in a room full of people in identical black suits, who were mainly lawyers and accountants, learning about how to network effectively. The seminar was meant to teach us how to ‘work the room’, how to approach groups of people who you would like to speak to, how to get rid of people you wouldn’t like to speak to, and how to know when people don’t want to speak to you. Our business director Nathan Smith has graduated from Lancaster University's prestigious LEAD programme, a mini-MBA for owner-managers of fast-growing SMEs.

Worrying news from a recent survey by the Hampshire-based Aziz Corporation, which says 80% of British business executives would be scared of being interviewed on television.
Worse still, 58% said they would worry about "boring the audience" if public speaking and 32% were afraid of not being able to answer questions from the audience.
